Treatment

During a Reiki treatment the client remains fully clothed. Reiki flows through material, even plastercasts; However, Shoes, belt and jewellery should be removed. The practitioner places their hands lightly in specific positions on the body or in the aura of the client. The Reiki energy flows from the giver into the client's body, through their chakras and aura.

When working with you I prefer to intuitively assess your health, including your physical and emotional conditions. There will always be time for pre and post discussions with you in a relaxed environment. I like to use a scanning method which enables me to visiualise and feel the root cause of any blockages accurately; This way healing is highly personalised and holistic.

What does Reiki feel like?

You may feel warmth from my hands or tingling waves of energy over your body. Sometimes the body reacts by coughing, sneezing, laughing or crying but everyone feels a great sense of uplifting, release, relaxation and peace - you may even fall asleep.
After the treatment you may wish to talk about how you felt and I may share some insights with you. You should drink plenty of water after a treatment and rest as much as possible.

Is Reiki suitable for everyone?

Reiki can never harm. It is totally safe making it appropriate for everyone. Children respond particularly well as they put up less conscious blocks to healing and have had less time exposed to suppressive treatment. Plants and animals also love receiving Reiki.
Reiki is pure energy and always creates positive change. If you are not ready for changes in your life, the healer or Reiki Master cannot force the healing process. It is your right to be happy and fulfilled and Reiki can help you clear those physical and emotional issues, but only if you are willing to be open-minded and accepting of help.

How often do I need a treatment?

Although even one Reiki treatment can make a difference, a minimum of three sessions is recommended over 3 consecutive weeks so that deep, lasting changes are made. Following the initial sessions a session every 2 - 4 months will ensure you maintain optimum good health.

cost

An initial session will last an hour and a half (£35) with a typical session lasting an hour (£30). If a longer session is needed this will discussed and a price agreed with you prior to that session. Appointments can be arranged to suit you. If you cancel an appointment without giving twenty-four hours notice, the full fee will be payable.

Reiki and other methods of healing

I may integrate and combine other healing methods into the Reiki session intuitively; such as crystal healing, chakra clearing and working with the inner child. Ocassionally another method of healing as a separate session may be beneficial... For example - If the root cause of an emotional blockage is another person, I may recommend doing a Karma Release from them. Other healing methods include: Past life regression, The Journey (Emotional and Physical release from symptoms), Clearing and energising the chakras and crystal healing.

Reiki can be combined with other holistic healing methods. Excellent combinations are, for example:
